HOLIDAY | knee deep in the water somewhere

Just some snaps from my family vacation to Florida. We got back 10 days ago now and I have been having a difficult time getting back to real life! 

We spent most of our time lazing about the beach or by the pool, but also went to Universal Studios (hello Harry Potter!) and rented bikes to ride around the neighbourhood and did little resort activities like paint coconut cups. I was actually far too sick from the first two HP rides at Universal so that day was kind of a bust for me, but other than that the trip was glorious and a much needed break. 

Ever since I can remember my head has always been filled with a thousand different thoughts about what I have to do and where my life is headed and just general neuroses, but for the first time in what feels like forever I was able to actually just enjoy where I was and what I was doing and not think so much, and for that I am very grateful. 

As I said now I'm back to the real world and have to think about thesis proposals and research workshops and selling my writing so I'm kind of out of sorts. Looking at these pictures brought a little sunshine into my otherwise gloomy day though and I hope they do the same for you!
