WHAT I DID | one of those days

Today I had brunch with two of my lovely friends from the Journalism program from which I graduated a few months ago. It's quite a strange thing, going from seeing some people on a daily basis to not seeing them for months at a time. It was good to catch up and have some real *girl talk* with them. We are all sort of at the same stage in our lives now, having just graduated and trying to sort ourselves out, so it was especially nice to chat with them as we're all in the same boat!

We ate at a restaurant called L'avenue and I had just about the best food I've eaten in a while - fresh strawberry and banana juice, and then plain yogurt with muesli and strawberries and bananas - so many noms. Felt very tropical too!

This is the washroom in the restaurant - kind of spooky! It had black light lighting so it was very dark but everything was glowing. I'm curious who decorated it or if anyone can grab a sharpie and contribute their own drawing to the mix. Frightening but pretty cool nonetheless.

I went to a showcase this afternoon for work (I've got to write a story about it) and then I lazed at home in the evening, eating and playing some Halo 4 with my sister. I've been under the weather for the past month, and I finally went to my doctor about it this week and have been given all sorts of things to make me better. I'm to take inhalers regularly and have been given a god awful nasal spray that burns like a mother, but it will apparently make me well again so I guess I've got to trust him! Plans  for the weekend include transcribing hours of quotes, writing, editing, and a bit of shopping as I'm hoping to snatch up this bag before they've run out. Wish me luck!
